Chace Crawford Digs Cougars

Chace Crawford films scenes with newbie Madchen Amick for their cult series, Gossip Girl, in New York City on Thursday.

Amick, 37, will appear in the first few eps of the new season as cougar Catherine Mason and tempt Nate Archibald (Crawford, 22) with a May-December romance. In the first four or five episodes, it will also be revealed that Amick’s character will also have “a surprising connection to another new character on the show.”

Ed Westwick Suits Up

Ed Westwick pairs his pretty pink shirt with a maroon suit as he makes his way from the make-up trailer to the set of Gossip Girl in New York City on Wednesday.

Mr. Westwick turned the big 2-1 last Saturday and celebrated at TAO Night Club in Vegas.

Co-stars Chace Crawford, Blake Lively, Penn Badgley and Leighton Meester were all on set as well.

Crawford Hates Stipping Off

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford hates appearing topless on-screen - because he doesn't want his good looks to divert attention from his acting skills.

The TV hunk, who plays rich kid Nate Archibald in the hit U.S. series, hates to undress for the cameras because he doesn't believe his character would strip off for no reason.

And Crawford admits to speaking his mind when TV bosses try and persuade him to get naked.

He tells OK! magazine, "There was an episode where we were crashed out on the sofa after a big night out and they wanted me to wake up in my boxers, so I argued with them about it.
"I mean, first of all, who gets wasted with their buddy, and smokes weed and then strips down to their boxers before they pass out on the couch?! "No one does that. Why am I naked on my buddy's couch? It was weird so I fought it."
